The Niger Minister for Higher Education and Research, Momoudour DJibo, Ph.D, has seek for collaboration with the Niger Republic and Yusuf Maitama Sule University Kano State.
Dr. Momoudour DJibo disclosed this when he visited the Vice-Chancellor YUMSUK, Prof. Mukhtar Atiku Kurawa at the main campus of the University in Kano.
The Minister was on a working visit to Kano State on collaborations and linkages in the areas of research and educational development.
Speaking, The Vice-Chancellor of the University, Prof. Mukhtar Atiku Kurawa, who was ably represented by the DVC (Academics), Prof. Amina Salihi Bayero assured Dr. DJibo of the University’s readiness to go into the academic collaborations, linkages, staff and students exchange where applicable.
The VC appreciated the Hon. Minister, Dr. DJibo and the Kano State Government for the choice of Yusuf Maitama Sule University Kano as a reference point for the collaboration.
The visiting Minister was accompanied by the Hon. Commissioner for Higher Education, Dr. Mariya Mahmoud Bunkure, The Management staff and Directors of the Ministry for Higher Education, Kano State were in the Commissioners entourage.
The Minister was also accompanied by the President, Maryam Abacha American University Niger & Nigeria, Prof. Adamu Abubakar Gwarzo as well as group of academics from Niger and Nigeria.
