The Kaduna state High Court sitting at Dogarawa in Sabon Gari Local Government area of the state presided over by Justice Kabir Dabo had again adjourned the case filed before it by Alhaji Bashir Aminu against the State Government refered to as First Dependant and 10 others challenging the appointment of Emir of Zazzau, Ambassador Ahmad Nuhu Bamalli to succeed late Emir of Zazzau, Alhaji Shehu Idris who died about 2 month ago.
Others jointly sued in the matter are Attorney General of the state, Commissioner Ministry for Local Governments and Chieftaincy affairs, Zazzau Emirate Council, Secretary to the state Government, Zazzau Emirate Kingmakers which include Alhaji Aminu Ibrahim Wazirin Zazzau, Alhaji Muhammad Abbas, makama karamin Zazzau, Mallam Sani Aliyu Limamin Kona, Mallam Kasimu Imam and Emir of Zazzau, Ambassador Ahmad Nuhu Bamalli.
After thorough aurgument on jurisdiction and power of the Court to hear and determine the case between plaintiff and applicant’s and Dependants’ Counsels, the Court in it’s ruling held that it had jurisdiction and power to hear the matter.
However, it adjourned the matter to November 5th when it will hear on the application of Counsel to plaintiff Ustaz Yunus’s interlocutory injunction.
