In its effort to ensure effective service delivery in an organizations, fahimta women and youth development initiative has organised a four day training to 12 CBOs across Azare, Gamawa, bauchi, Bogoro and Ningi local government areas.
The NGO in collaboration with Actionaid Nigeria, the training focused on organizational effectiveness and board governance, held at Pali resort in bauchi state.
On the importance of adhering to organizational core values, one of the resource persons at the training, a retired permanent secretary in the state, Alh Inuwa Bello, explain that, no doubt adhering to ethics and core values will project the image of the organization.
Alh Inuwa Bello who describe the training as timely, advised that, picking the right mission and vision for an organization is another area that needs focus from both the management and the board in other to achieve the set objectives.
In her opening remarks, The Executive Director of fahimta, Hajiya Maryam Garba while welcoming the participants, charge them to be attentive throughout the training as it will go a long way in moulding them to be better managers and attract grant from international donor.
Hajiya Maryam emphasis the need for the participants to make good use of the knowledge acquired and implement the skills to the latter in their respective organizations.
Our reporter reveal that, in an interview with some of the participants during the training, they commended fahimta women and Actionaid Nigeria for the opportunity given to them and promised to make good use of the knowledge acquired.
