The Vice Presidential Candidate of the All Progressive Grand Alliance (APGA) Comrade Abdullahi Muhammed Koli, has called on Muslim faithful to see this year’s Eid-el-Adha as another divine opportunity to rededicate their commitment towards imbibing the virtues of Prophet Muhammad (SAW) centred on love, peace, justice and equity.
Abdullahi Koli, made the call in a statement to felicitate with the Muslim Ummah on the occasion of this year’s Sallah celebration.
He pointed out that the first 10 days of Dhul Hijjah had been a period of sober reflections and soul searching to make amends with Allah and mankind, hence the need for Muslims to internalise the lessons learnt during these days, especially, the day of Arafah.
The Vice Presidential Candidate, stressed the need for Nigerians to pray fervently for God’s intervention in the current challenges facing the country, especially the issues of banditry and kidnappings.
He urged the Muslim faithful to imbibe the spirit of sacrifice, charity and love throughout the festive period and beyond.
Comrade Abdullahi Muhammed Koli, also charged the Muslims to use the festive period to pray for the peaceful conduct of the 2023 general elections.
While praying for a peaceful Sallah Celebration, the APGA Vice Presidential Candidate, urged the entire Muslim community to be security conscious and report any suspicious activities or person(s) to the relevant authorities, and to comply with the security forces for a hitch free and happy Sallah celebration across the country.
