Bauchi Poly: Management Imposes Levy On Students Over Protest.

The governing council of Abubakar Tatari Ali polytechnic, ATAP, Bauchi, has approved the reopening of the institution for normal academic activities, weeks after it was closed over violent protest.

The development was contained in a signed statement by Maimako Baraya, Public Relations Officer of the Polytechnic.

Maimako Baraya pointed out that the governing council of the institution at its extra-ordinary meeting held on Wednesday 3th August 2022 has approved the reopening of the polytechnic from Monday 8th August 2022 for continuation of 2020/2021 academic session.

The statement, however, says “Students and parents are to note that;
All students must pay a compulsory levy of N1, 000,00.

Students with outstanding school registration fees must settle before they would be allowed to continue with their studies”.

It also said all students must sign an undertaking form to be of good behavior on or before Friday 12th August 2022.

“Students are to further note that examinations will commence immediately after resumption as earlier planned, please”, the statement added.
