By Suleman Ibrahim Modibbo

Mohammed Ibrahim Kamal, a staunch supporter of a Bauchi south senatorial aspirant on the platform of the PDP, Mahiru Maiwada Wundi, has called for the cancellation of the just concluded party’s primary election for the seat, over alleged irregularities.

In an interview with newsmen in Bauchi on the outcome of the election, Ibrahim Kamal, alleged that some of their votes were rendered invalid during what he described as “planned power outage” at Zaranda Hotel Bauchi, venue of the election.

According to him, his candidate Mahiru Maiwada Wundi, has the full support of the delegates and his constituents, hence the need for those concerned to organize a fresh and transparent primary election for the seat.

Ibrahim Kamal claimed that the party may not win the senatorial seat in the upcoming 2023 election, if they go ahead with the current candidate.

Recall that Garba Dahiru was declared winner of the election, with 70 votes to defeat his closest opponent, Mahiru Maiwada Wundi, who scored 69 votes, a development that generates concern among his supporters.
