Governor Bagudu graces the swearing in of Niger President Mohammed Bazoum

 

Governor Abubakar Atiku Bagudu of Kebbi was among prominent Nigerians delegates who attended the swearing-in ceremony of President Mohammed Bazoum of Niger Republic this Friday at International Conference Centre, Niamey.

Senator Abubakar Atiku Bagudu observed that, gracing the august occasion by important Nigerians including State Governors sharing borders with the Republic of Niger would greatly foster solid political relationship between the two sister Nations for their mutual commercial and cultural simulate.

The governor said the Republic of Niger is worth of congratulations and praises for going the crucible of passing the leadership Baton peacefully from a democratically elected government to another, which he added, is a further testimony to the country’s political maturity and coming of age.

Senator Bagudu expressed appreciation over the hospitality accorded the Nigerians delegation, comprising Governor of Yobe State and Chairman APC Caretaker Committee, Alh. Mai Mala Buni, Governor Aminu Waziri Tambuwal of Sokoto State, Governor Aminu Bello Masari of Katsina State, Zamfara State Governor Alh. Bello Muhammad Matawalle, Dr. Umar Abdullahi Ganduje of Kano state, Professor Babagana Umara Zulum of Borno State, and the Governor of Jigawa State, Alh. Muhammad Badaru Abubakar.

Other important personalities from Nigeria among other world leaders who graced the ceremony included Former President Olusegun Obasanjo and the incumbent Nigeria’s Foreign Affairs Minister Godfrey Onyema.

President Bazoun while expressing gratitude to the Nigerian entourage for what he called overwhelming demonstration of sincere fraternity between his country and Nigeria. He also said he was touched by the mass attendance of other world leaders at his swearing-in ceremony.

Thanked all the personalities from across the world, President Bazoum pronounced that he would uphold the oath of office through justice and fair governance and he would carry all Nigeriens along regardless of political lining.
