Bauchi State Muslims Pilgrims Welfare Board in collaboration with Primary Healthcare Development Agency, has commenced the administration of the second round of Covid 19 vaccine to all its intending Pilgrims.

Addressing the intending Pilgrims before the commencement of the exercise, which held at the Board’s Headquarters, the Executive Secretary of the Board, Alhaji Abubakar Babangida Tafida said the Covid 19 vaccine is a prerequisite for obtaining a visa to international travellers, adding that all intending Pilgrims must receive the first and second dose of COVID-19 Vaccine before departing to the Holy Land.

Babangida stressed that the board has put in place modalities to visit 20 Local Government Areas in the State within one week to ensure full coverage of the exercise.

According to him, the intending Pilgrims must present a certificate attested for the recieved of first dose before considering for the second dose.

Abubakar Babangida therefore urged the Pilgrims to support the Board to ensure a hitch free exercise.

The Executive Secretary used the forum to also debunk the rumour that Saudi Authority has approved only 60,000,000 Pilgrims from within and outside Saudi Arabia for this year’s hajj.

Describing the information as baseless, Babangida Tafida advised the general public to avoid any information on Hajj related matters that has not been rooted from Saudi Ministry of Hajj and Umra, NAHCON or State Muslim Pilgrims Welfare Boards.

He commended the Bauchi state governor Senator Bala Abdulkadir Muhammad for his efforts to ensure a fruitful Hajj Exercise in Bauchi State.
