The All Progressive Congress (APC) Bauchi State Chapter has successfully conducted it’s state congress where new leaders were elected via consensus.
The consensus took place at the Zaranda hotel in Bauchi, where hundreds of the party delegates were in attendance.
Speaking with Martaba FM shortly after the consensus, Honorable Adamu S Noma an elder statesman in the state chapter of the party said the consensus was successful.
He added that all other contestants withdrew their interest for the chairmanship of the All Progressive Congress APC because of their patriotism and love as well as the betterment of the party.
Noma equally described the action made by the other aspirant for stepping down as one of its kind saying that they have exhibited a sense of decorum and showed their readiness to uplift the APC to an advanced level.
Speaking after emerging as the winner of the consensus, Honorable Sunusi Aliyu Kunde expressed his delight and commended his opponents for the confidence repost on him to take the Bauchi APC to the promised land.
Kunde added that his nomination is not because he is better among the other contestants but it is the will of God, almighty.
He therefore pledged to justify the confidence repost on him by doing everything within his powers to revive the lost glory of the party in Bauchi State.
Kunde solicited for prayers from his colleagues and the good people of Bauchi State for him to have a successful tenure.
