OPINION: Bauchi State within the week under review

Despite the rainy season, the Executive Governor of Bauchi State Sen. Bala Mohammed had a hectic week as usual, full of activities, geared towards moving the state forward.

According to report from the governor’s Special Assistant on New Media, Lawal Muazu Bauchi , Governor Bala, on Monday August 2nd, received in audience, former Minister of Police Affairs and Yobe State prominent politician, Adamu Maina Waziri.

Fruitful discussions relevant to the socioeconomic and political development we’re held during the visit.

On Tuesday, August 3rd, Senator Bala Abdulkadir Mohammed recieved in audience, an elder statesman and cheiftan of the People’s Democratic Party, Alhaji Umaru Dahiru accompanied by Alhaji Audu Sale.

Alhaji Umaru Dahiru who applauded the Executive Governor for the transformational leadership he is providing for the betterment of Bauchi state, urged him to sustain the tempo for the good of all.

On his part, Governor Bala thanked the elder statesman for the visit and solicited for their continued support and elderly advice.

On Friday August 6, Senator Bala paid a visit to the renown Islamic scholar, Sheik Dahiru Usman Bauchi at his residence in Bauchi.

The Governor was accompanied by the Secretary to the State Government, Barrister Ibrahim Kashim and the immediate past commissioner for Local Government, Abdulrazak Nuhu Zaki among other dignitaries.

Sheik Dahiru Usman Bauchi prayed Allah to continue to empower the Governor the strength to take Bauchi to promised land.

On Saturday August 7th, the Executive Governor departed Bauchi for Borno to attend the wedding fatiha of Barrister Fatima, daughter of former PDP gubernatorial candidate in Borno State, Mohammed Imam.

Similarly, Governor Bala accompanied by Governor Babagana Umara Zulum attended the wedding fatiha of Mohammed Zakariya, member representing Dikwa constituency in the Borno State House of Assembly.

The Governor was accompanied to Maiduguri by Senator Adamu Gumba, the immediate past Commissioner for Local Government, Nuhu Zaki and Alhaji Babayo Male, Danmalikin Katagum
