Boundary Dispute: Bauchi state house of assembly sympathized with affected community

Following the unfortunate incidence of confrontation between the two communities of Buri-Buri community of Gungura  ward Ganjuwa Local government and Bawa Community in Dukku local government of Gombe state, Bauchi state Assembly has visited the area to commiserate with the peoples of the area.

The delegation led by Baballe Abubakar Dambam chairman house committee on special duties and that of security Sabo Bako Sade called on the Bauchi state government to take proactive measures to avoid future occurrences of the clashes.

The lawmakers explained that no any developments can be achieved in and atmosphere of rancors.

According to the committees they where at the Buri-Buri to ascertain the level of damages that resulted to lose of lives and farm produce.

BAHA pladge to meet with their Gombe state counterpart with a view to find solution to the lingering border tension between the communities.

While commenting village head of Gungura, Malam Sunusi Ibrahim said as a result of the clashes farm produce worth millions of Naira were destroyed, hence the need of government public spirited individuals to come to their aid.

It could be recalled that last week during plenary at the Bauchi state Assembly member representing Ganjuwa East Gazali Abubakar Wunti brought the matter saying the crises is the manifestation of government’s failure to address issues fuelling them over the years.
