Bauchi Governor’s Aid Empowers 100 people on entrepreneurship development

 

The Senior Special Assistant to the Bauchi State Governor on Empowerment, Comrade Khalid Barau Ningi in collaboration with five public and private organisations has trained about 100 young entrepreneurs on entrepreneurship development.

Speaking at the closing ceremony of the two day seminar with critical stakeholders as participants, Khalid Barau said the seminar is to train the participants on modern entrepreneurship.

The Senior Special Assistant said the seminar is to give opportunity to the participants to explore entrepreneurship opportunities in order to advance their capacity.

“I partnered with about five organisations to carrying out this seminar and the aimed is to explore opportunities for our young entrepreneurs in Bauchi state so as to tap from other opportunities.”

“Initially my office secured the partnership of Almuhibbah Foundation, Bauchi SDGs office and other organisations for this assignment, and all the organisations sent a resources person. Alhamdulillah the seminar it was successful.”

He said the training focused on leadership in entrepreneurship, planning and managing in businesses, financial management and control in businesses and opportunities for entrepreneurs in the Federal Government.

Comrade Khalid Barau assured youth and women on the determination of the administration of Governor Bala Abdulkadir Mohammed to come up with sound empowerment initiatives to improve their living conditions and for self reliant.

” This is the beginning, more empowerment programs are coming to empower young entrepreneurs and to revive abandoned and collapsed industries.”

Some of the participants who spoke to newsmen, expressed gratitude to the Governor’s Senior Special Assistant on Empowerment for coming up with the initiative, describing it as the first of its kind in the state.

“This is the first time government official is coming up with such initiative and we thank him for that and we call on others to emulate.”
